Originally a cartoon character on game programs for Auburn basketball games, university officials brought Aubie to life as spirit leader and goodwill ambassador for the university in 1979. Since making the leap from paper to reality, Aubie has become one of the most accomplished mascots in the collegiate ranks. Since 1991 Aubie has brought home six national titles. After becoming very successful Aubie drew national attention and has spun the wheel with Pat and Vannah on Wheel of Fortune, headlined many Capital One Mascot Bowl commercials, and was featured in a story in Playboy Magazine. Don't think Aubie isn't loyal to his local fans as well. He can often be spotted dancing and playing bingo at local nursing homes or promoting charity events and this tiger can dance! Aubie actually makes 5-10 community appearances a week and is one of the friendliest tigers around!
